All new cleats are a bit stiff when engaging and disengaging the pedal, but this one seems a bit more difficult than most. Requires a sharp twist to get the foot out of the cleat and on the road to prevent you from hitting the ground like a tuna.However, the price is right and I think after a couple of weeks either I will be accustomed to the increased resistance or the cleat will have worn enough so that I don't notice.
