I bought these because they were advertised as "water resistant" and I wanted something I could put on in a hurry if I got caught in the rain while cycling. I might as well have used a sponge over my shoes as these things are about as water-resistant as a parched desert. I was carrying them in my trailer bag when I had to hose the bag because of dirt and mud. Unfortunately, the zipper was slightly open so a SMALL amount of water got inside. These booties sucked up the moisture and were damp while nearly everything else repelled the water.
