I bought these shoes at a local sporting goods store, because I needed a good cycling shoe for my spin classes. They seemed really nice, they're very comfortable, lightweight and very well ventilated.I was initially very happy with them, they were exactly what I needed and wanted, an entry level cycling shoe. After using them for approximately 6 months, 3 or 4 times a week during hour-long spin classes, the plastic sole cracked. It cracked literally in half, right along the ball of the foot, where the cleat attaches. If you know anything about cycling and cycling shoes you know that this renders the shoes useless, because the whole point of cycling shoes is to eliminate sole flex.
I would only recommend these shoes for very occasional use, for recreational weekend bike rides, nothing more than that. The sole material cannot cope with anything more than that. If you are looking for a shoe that you can use for intensive daily spin classes or very frequent or marginally intensive cycling sessions look elsewhere.
