I bought this for my girlfriend as some kind of compromise between a high-vis yellow/green workman-type vest, and something more suitable for a stylish lady. I wanted something visible at night. On some websites I visited, "Pacific Blue" looked very much like "Electric Blue" and seemed like a good choice. In the flesh, the vest is not particularly bright. So perhaps not the best for cycling at night. However, it is very cute and I suppose that's important.

The perennial favorite Whisper Vest by Pearl Izumi has been updated with a softer, more wind and water resistant Zephrr fabric and flattering new lines. Offering lightweight, core protection for biking and running, the Zephrr polyester fabric is soft, supple, lightweight, and easy to stow when you've warmed up. The vest features a hydrophobic mesh back for optimum ventilation and breathability, and has a full-length front zipper for further temperature control and easy on/off. With a high, microfleece lined collar, the vest is a great wind and weather breaker whether you're biking, running or walking. Internal pocket offers great storage for valuables such as keys, money, or credit cards, and reflective piping on the front and back offer visibility in low light and after dark.
Like all Pearl Izumi products the Women's Whisper Vest has a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, that excludes failures from accidents, misuse, improper care, or normal wear. For best results Pearl Izumi recommends washing its products with detergents free of additives, such as fabric softeners and perfumes, because detergents with additives leave "surfactants" behind on a fabric's fibers that inhibit the technical performance. Hang dry the product or dry it on a low or warm dryer setting. Never use a hot dryer setting or use a commercial dryer as this will damage the fabric's performance.
