Shimano SH-R087GE Road Bike Shoes - Men's Review
Although I am using this pair of cycling shoes I am not really happy with them.I got them a couple months ago and the first thing I noticed was that the right shoe hurt my foot. The stiff mount for the micro adjuster was exactly on a nerve. By loosening the ratchet and making sure the tongue is away from that area it is ok. I hope that will work better with time.
Another thing I don't like is the heel pad. Wearing Speedplay cleats makes the shoe tip so that very little of the heel pad touches the ground at stops. I may have to modify them with my own pad soon.
On the plus side they are light, and the micro adjustment allows for a snug fit. My first Shimanos lasted about five years so I expect these to do the same.
